Stop Credit Companies from selling your data.
Mortgage Industry insiders call them trigger leads. When you apply for credit with one mortgage company, the credit bureaus see a new credit inquiry on their system. This triggers them to put you personal data on a leads list and sell this information to other lenders.
What exactly are they selling? Basically, your name, contact info, and the fact that you are applying for credit.
Who are they selling it to? Pretty much anyone.
How can you stop this from happening?. Go to this web site.

This doesn’t sound legit. I would exercise more caution before sending out links to websites that aren’t government mandated.

Huh? OptOutPreScreen.com was set up by the very companies that are selling this data. They voluntarily built it to avoid government regulation. There is no government mandated “Do Not Call” list for this kind of practice. I wish there were, but until then, opting out is the best thing you can do.
Since you refused to leave our name, I wonder if you aren’t one of the jokers buying these leads.
